Do you take insurance?
Aaron A. Leishman, DMD, PA is an out of network provider. This means that we do not work with any insurance companies, and all of our patients pay up front for their services. However, as a courtesey to our patients, we will file all insurance claims on their behalf and the insurance company will contact patients directly with any reimbursment.

How long does a new patient exam take?
Our new patient exams generally take an hour and a half. Dr. Leishman does an extremely thourough comprehensive exam and also takes a full set of x-rays. While it may be a long appointment, every step is entirely necessary to fully understand a patient and their dental needs.

Can I get a cleaning the same day as my new patient exam?
Florida law requires that all patients be seen by the doctor before they are scheduled for a cleaning. It is only after your comprehensive new patient exam that Dr. Leishman will be able to recommend what type of cleaning you will need. We are happy to schedule a cleaning for our patients after they have been seen by the doctor, but the new patient exam and the cleaning won't be scheduled on the same day.

Do I need to have more x-rays taken if I have recently had some taken at another office?
X-rays are often necessary for the doctor to gain a full understanding of what is going on inside the mouth. In some instances, patients who have recently had x-rays taken at another office can have them sent to our office for review by Dr. Leishman. If deemed adequate for our purposes, they can be used in place of the x-rays that we would have taken. Bitewing x-rays are good for up to one year, and a full set of x-rays can be good for 3-5 years.

Is teeth whitening safe?
Whitening products, if used correctly, can be entirely safe for users. Our office is a certified premier provider for the KOR whitening system, an at-home and in-office whitening treatment that produces little to no sensitivity and can whiten your teeth up to 16 shades! While results will vary by patient, all outcomes are brilliant.
